Experience and Education
Cynthia provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.
Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Cynthia was the owner of Confluence Financial Planning, LLC, which she founded in 1983. In this role, she ran the company, advised clients and mentored her team. For five years, Cynthia also authored the Sacramento Business Journal’s column “Meyers on Money.” Earlier in her career, Cynthia worked with various Bay Area firms writing and editing children’s textbooks and sold original crossword puzzles to Cricket magazine. Her writing and quotes have been featured in many local and national periodicals and books.
Cynthia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from the University of the Pacific and an MBA in marketing from Golden Gate University.
Personal Interests
Away from the office, Cynthia is an avid reader of fiction and nonfiction. She finds joy with her husband of over 45 years, her family, friends, fellow employees and clients. Her activities include playing racquetball, playing bridge and music. Cynthia was formerly the president of the International Association for Financial Planning and currently serves on the Vestry at All Saints Episcopal Church.
