Experience and Education
Scott focuses on new business development. He works with individuals and families to understand their specific needs and priorities and then introduces them to a wealth planning team that can help them achieve their long-term financial objectives.
Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Scott was senior vice president, U.S. institutional business development at Candriam, a European-based global asset manager. While there, he was responsible for U.S. institutional business development, which included public funds, corporate defined benefit and defined contribution plans, endowments and foundations, multi-family offices and consultants. Before that, he worked with Forester Capital as vice president, investor relations. Earlier in his career, he spent 20 years at AllianceBernstein, primarily in institutional business development.
Scott has a bachelor’s degree in food and resource economics from the University of Florida.
Away from the office, Scott is a big sports fan and loves the Florida Gators. He is an avid runner and runs regularly with his dog. He has spent the last decade heavily involved in his son’s baseball teams—from the Little League (assistant coach) to Babe Ruth (assistant coach and head coach) and from Legion to Middle and High School leagues.
