Experience and Education

Chris brings more than twenty-five years of wealth experience to Mariner, with previous roles including vice president and portfolio manager, investment research analyst, financial consultant and bond trader. His experience spans investment strategy, asset allocation, equities, fixed income, mutual funds, alternative and private investments and financial planning. He believes multi-generational wealth management can help navigate turbulent markets to fulfill their dreams and meet their long-term objectives.

Prior to joining Mariner, Chris worked for Heber Fuger Wendin, Inc. providing investment and wealth management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients. Prior to that, he was a financial consultant for Alan B. Lancz & Associates and provided proactive, customized investment solutions to high-net-worth individuals. Additionally, he previously worked as a portfolio manager in the trust departments of Comercia Bank and Old National Bank managing assets for high-net-worth clients.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Personal Interests

Chris is an avid outdoorsman and is involved in youth and high school sports at the school where his children attend. He is a member of the CFA Institute and a past president of the CFA Society of Detroit, where he is still a member. He is on the Board of Directors of Bankers Retirement Services and publishes an investment column for Rethinking65.com.
