Brian Green
Experience and education
Brian is responsible for the oversight and management of client relationships, striving to exceed client expectations by delivering excellent service through developing investment policy guidelines, optimizing investment portfolios, selecting investment managers, presenting performance-monitoring reports, and conducting trustee education on a wide range of investment topics. He also helps to ensure clients receive accurate documentation and reports on their timeline, maintaining current knowledge of each client’s manager lineup and general market issues. Brian acts as the primary point of contact in relation to all servicing issues related to the client and is required to be proactive in communication regarding portfolios, firm and Plan issues as they arise. Brian may leverage Mariner’s colleagues as required in order to meet the clients’ varying needs.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian was a consultant at AndCo, an investment consulting firm that was acquired by Mariner. While here, he worked with a wide variety of client types to assist with developing asset allocation studies, investment policy guidelines and performing custodial reviews. Brian also focused on implementing investment manager due diligence reviews, conducting analysis for investment manager selection and provided evaluation for investment performance marketing. Before that, Brian held a primary consultant position at Graystone Consulting, where he assisted various institutional clients and designed client deliverables for asset allocation and performance measurement.
Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University
Personal interests
Away from the office, Brian enjoys golf, youth hockey, and volunteering at the local food bank, Forgotten Harvest.
