Louis is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. 

Experience and education

Louis works with high-net-worth families, individuals and executives to develop customized wealth planning solutions. He incorporates investment planning, tax management and multigenerational family transition planning into the financial planning process with clients.

Prior to joining Mariner, he was a financial planning assistant at HK Financial, Inc. In that role, he implemented strategies to help keep client portfolios in appropriate, tax-efficient allocations. He also developed financial plans for clients. 

Louis has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of San Francisco and an MBA in financial planning from California Lutheran University. He is a member of San Diego’s Financial Planning Association and is involved in its NexGen group.

Personal interests

Louis is a big brother with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Diego County. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world with his wife, playing soccer and hiking with his dog.
