Experience and Education

John focuses on the client experience and developing associate talent at several of the firm’s locations. He is responsible for strategy and operational execution in these locations, as well as identifying and opening new offices.

John has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Mariner, he worked at Morgan Stanley as the market executive for the western New York area. Before that, he was a manager for UBS. Earlier in his career, he had roles with Paine Webber, Prudential Securities and Dean Witter Reynolds.

John has a bachelor’s degree from Providence College, an MBA from Fordham University School of Business and a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, John enjoys playing golf, reading and traveling.
