Jacob is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor and a Certified Plan Sponsor Professional.

Experience and Education

Jacob oversees the day-to-day activities of team members. With an emphasis on training, developing, motivating and providing technical expertise, he assigns tasks, monitors and ensures work and service quality and holds direct reports accountable.

Prior to joining Mariner, Jacob was partner, consulting director at AndCo, where he led a team of consultants in providing customized investment and fiduciary oversight for clients with institutional portfolios, including defined contribution, defined benefit, endowments and foundations. He also contributed his experience to AndCo’s overall defined contribution strategy.

Jacob has an MBA in finance and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, both from the University of North Carolina.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Jacob enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding, traveling with his wife and being a father. He is a fan of the Brigham Young University Cougars, Carolina Tar Heels, Utah Jazz and Carolina Panthers. He is actively involved with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
