Experience and Education

Gwelda is responsible for the oversight and management of client relationships, striving to exceed client expectations by delivering excellent service through developing investment policy guidelines, optimizing investment portfolios, selecting investment managers, presenting performance-monitoring reports, and conducting trustee education on a wide range of investment topics. She also helps to ensure clients receive accurate documentation and reports on their timeline, maintaining current knowledge of each client’s manager lineup and general market issues. Gwelda acts as the primary point of contact in relation to all servicing issues related to the client and is required to be proactive in communication regarding portfolios, firm and Plan issues as they arise. Gwelda may leverage Mariner’s colleagues as required in order to meet the clients’ varying needs.

Prior to joining the firm, Gwelda was a consultant at AndCo, an investment consulting firm that was acquired by Mariner. While here, Gwelda assisted institutional plan sponsors on optimizing investment portfolios, conducting manager due diligence reviews, selecting investment managers and developing investment policy guidelines. Gwelda also prepared performance monitoring reports, conducted trustee education, prospect and assist the development of new business opportunities and presentations. Before that, Gwelda was senior vice president at Callan Associates, where she consulted to institutional plan sponsors regarding asset allocation, manager structure, investment policy development, performance measurement and conducted trustee education. Gwelda also focused on marketing investment consulting services to plan sponsors.

Gwelda has a Master of Science Degree in International Affairs from Florida State University.
