Shea is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ professional and a Certified Public Accountant.

Experience and education

Shea brings more than two decades of experience in tax and financial planning to developing comprehensive wealth solutions for clients to help them achieve their long-term objectives. Prior to joining Mariner, he owned his own tax practice where he worked with both individuals and businesses to help them achieve their goals through tax planning and tax mitigation. He also worked for a larger regional CPA firm in both their tax and business consulting divisions before transitioning to wealth management at a large Des Moines-based wealth management firm.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and an MBA from Drake University.

Personal interests

Shea enjoys golfing, smoking meat, watching his boys play soccer and being a dad.
