Andy holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Experience and Education
Andy is responsible for performing and preparing asset liability modeling and developing strategies and recommendations to support client needs. He also evaluates capital markets, asset class assumptions and interest rate modeling to identify associated solutions. For assigned clients, Andy acts as the primary point of contact for all asset liability issues and is responsible for engaging with team members, advisors and clients to facilitate the selection of appropriate asset allocation and liability strategies. He may leverage Mariner’s colleagues as required to meet the clients’ varying needs.
Prior to joining Mariner, Andy was a director of modeling and consultant at Cardinal Investment Advisors, where he developed and maintained quantitative models to support the firm’s institutional consulting business. Before that, he was a partner at Mercer Investment Consulting and a Portfolio Strategist at Allstate Insurance Company.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Northwestern University and an MBA in analytic finance and econometrics and statistics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Personal Interests
Away from the office, Andy curates a collection of vintage golf equipment and is a cultivator of a methodical tea journal documenting subtle differences between estate-grown varieties. He also is an amateur urban squirrel behaviorist.
