Experience and Education

Brett serves as lead portfolio manager for the firm’s options and structured notes strategies and has overseen growth. He worked to create the structured notes team at Mariner in 2022 and is also responsible for launching four structured note investment strategies. During his tenure, Mariner has significantly expanded its options and structured notes capabilities.

Prior to joining Mariner, Brett was president and chief investment officer of 440 Investment Group, an asset management firm specializing in option investments that was acquired by Mariner in 2018. Before that, he was an internal audit and risk management consultant at Protiviti.

Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance from Pittsburg State University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Kansas.
