Russ is a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Chartered Life Underwriter and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Experience and Education

Russ helps individuals and families grow and protect wealth with comprehensive wealth management including integrated financial planning and investment strategies. Prior to joining Mariner, he was a founding partner with Channel Islands Group, a Ventura-based registered investment advisor. He also has an estate and charitable planning practice with Channel Islands Law Group, a P.C. in Ventura where he combines his financial and legal experience to provide mediation services to clients.

Russ has a Juris Doctorate degree from the Ventura College of Law.

Personal Interests

He volunteers his professional services to several nonprofit organizations in his community, including serving on the boards of the Masonic Homes of California, Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and Ventura Center for Dispute Settlements. He is active in Temple Beth Torah in Ventura, having served as its president. Russ is also president of the Worldwide Civility Council, an organization striving to restore civility in society as well as volunteering for Channel Islands Restoration, helping to restore the Islands to their native condition.

He recently co-authored The Civility Mosaic: How Anyone Can Use the Principles of Freemasonry to Repair Our World.
