Wes is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Experience and Education

Wes provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to joining Mariner, Wes served as a chief financial officer of Barnes Hospitality, Inc. to help support his wife Marissa’s entrepreneurial vision in launching four restaurant franchise locations in Indiana within a two-year period. Prior to that, he served as partner and chief operating officer of the Great Lakes office at Hightower Advisors. While with Hightower, Wes also volunteered to serve as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

Wes holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hanover College.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Wes enjoys staying active attending Orange Theory Fitness, traveling to new places with his family and spending time on the lake.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP^®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®, and CFP^® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
