Cheryl serves as chief operating officer for Mariner. With a meticulous focus on strategy and execution, she works in tandem with the CEO, shaping the trajectory of the firm to ensure decisions made regarding potential opportunities align with the firm’s enterprise-level goals. As part of her efforts, she is integrally involved in the evaluation of more than 200 acquisition opportunities annually.

A vital member of the enterprise leadership team, Cheryl orchestrates the integration of back-office functions, fortifying the foundation on which advisors nationwide rely as they serve Mariner’s esteemed clientele. Her strategic acumen ensures that every decision aligns seamlessly with Mariner’s overarching purpose, driving the firm toward continued goal achievement.

Having previously served as chief of staff and chief strategy officer, Cheryl brings a wealth of experience and insight to her current role. Her relentless pursuit of excellence and unwavering commitment to Mariner’s mission make her an indispensable asset. Cheryl holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. In addition, she has a Master of Laws degree in taxation from the University of San Diego.
