Experience and education
Matthew works closely with individuals and families to deliver thoughtful, personalized financial advice aligned with their long-term goals. His focus includes retirement planning, tax strategy, estate planning and portfolio construction, with experience working alongside small business owners and clients with more complex planning needs.
He brings a creative and solutions-oriented approach to planning, especially in areas such as charitable giving strategies and estate planning design. Matthew values building long-term relationships with clients and serving as a trusted resource as their financial lives evolve, while also working with future generations to help build financial awareness and long-term stewardship.
Matthew joined Mariner in 2016 and has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Having progressed through several roles within the firm, he has developed a strong technical foundation and a well-rounded perspective on the client experience.
Matthew has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with double majors in financial planning and economics from Creighton University.
Personal interests
Away from the office, Matthew enjoys traveling and has a passion for exploring new places and cultures around the world. He is an avid skier, sports enthusiast, and enjoys following college basketball and the Denver Broncos.
