Jay is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ professional and a licensed member of The Florida Bar.

Experience and education

Jay focuses on providing strategic financial advice and innovative wealth planning solutions to families. Prior to joining Mariner, he was a partner and senior wealth advisor at Singer Xenos Schechter Sosler, a wealth management firm in southern Florida. Before that, Jay practiced law in Miami for 10 years.

Jay has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Law School in Philadelphia.

Personal interests

Jay is involved in many charitable foundations including Jewish Community Services of North Miami Beach, the Charge Foundation and the Friendship Circle of Miami for children with special needs. He is the past president of Young Israel of Miami Beach and a former board member of Beth Israel Congregation, JCAT Theatre Company. In addition, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is also an avid golfer.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP^®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®, and CFP^® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
