Experience and Education
Larry has more than 20 years of experience helping high-net-worth clients and business owners achieve their financial and estate planning goals. He provides advisory solutions for individuals and for employer-sponsored retirement plans.
Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Larry was a wealth management consultant at CBIZ Wealth Management. He also has five years of experience in mortgage lending as a district loan officer for Great Western Bank. In 1996, he wrote the book, “How to Buy Stocks Factory Direct and Save” about dividend reinvestment programs. After graduating from college, Larry started a manufacturing business, served as president of Balboa Federal Credit Union and managed the west coast sales operation of Avnet Computer Technologies.
Larry has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California at Davis. He is a member of the San Diego chapter of the Financial Planning Association.
In 2017, Larry received the Kiwanis-Walter Zeller Fellowship award for his work in fundraising.
Larry has volunteered his time to provide financial education at the inner-city YWCA. He has also mentored students at the College of Business at California State University, San Marcos. He has been a member of the local Kiwanis Club for over 12 years and is also active in his church. Larry and his wife have two children.
