Experience and Education

Ian provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to joining Mariner’s Pittsburgh office, Ian was a financial advisor with Fort Pitt Capital Group. Before that, Ian served as a wealth advisor and managed the tax practice at Mariner in Miramar Beach. Ian brings legal experience from both the private and public sectors. He worked in commercial litigation at a boutique law firm in Pittsburgh and tax litigation at the Office of Attorney General In Harrisburg.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the New College of Florida and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Ian lives in Wilkinsburg with his two golden retrievers, Finley and Milo. He has an academic orientation and enjoys being a lifelong learner. He is particularly interested in economics, social history, urbanism, architecture and design. He is a member of the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation, Seaside Institute and Architecture Sarasota.
