Stephen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Experience and education

Stephen is responsible for conducting due diligence and providing manager recommendations to support Mariner advisors. In addition, he provides asset class and category guidance. He also monitors recommended managers and strategies and sources new ideas.

Prior to joining Mariner, Stephen was a public equities investment research specialist at Mercer, where he conducted manager due diligence on public equity strategies. He also served as an investment consultant at Mercer, providing investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients including public defined benefit plans, endowments and foundations and healthcare systems.

Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in human physiology from The University of Melbourne, Australia. He also earned an MBA from Saint Louis University.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Stephen enjoys tennis, running, baking and reading.
