Experience and education

Sammy is responsible for conducting due diligence and providing manager recommendations to support Mariner advisors. In addition, she provides asset class and category guidance. She also monitors recommended managers and strategies and sources new ideas.

Prior to joining Mariner, Sammy worked at Fund Evaluation Group for four years as a private equity research analyst and was later promoted to senior private equity research analyst. She was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, evaluating and recommending venture capital, growth equity, buyout, secondary and fund of funds opportunities to an institutional client base.

Sammy earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from the University of Kentucky.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Sammy serves as a board member and current treasurer for the Cincinnati Echelon Salvation Army Board. She also enjoys sports including sand volleyball and is a Bengals and Reds fan.
