Designations and Licenses

Julie holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation® and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Experience and Education

Julie is responsible for conducting due diligence and providing manager recommendations to support Mariner advisors. In addition, she provides asset class and category guidance. She also monitors recommended managers and strategies and sources new ideas.

Prior to joining Mariner, Julie was director of public securities at the University of Florida Investment Company, where she was responsible for the development of the investment plan and implementation strategy for the endowment’s public securities portfolio. Before that, she held the investment consultant position at Hewitt Investment Group, where she consulted institutional clients including public employee retirement systems, corporate pension plans, defined contribution plans and university endowments.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology from the University of Florida and an MBA in finance from Kennesaw State University.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Julie supports fundraisers for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and enjoys hiking, weightlifting, reading and traveling. She is also a fan of the University of Florida sports teams.
