Experience and education

Jesse has practiced in public accounting for over 16 years. He advises privately held and owner operated businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals. He works extensively with these clients on income tax planning while developing tax strategies and solutions to complex issues. His experience advising closely held businesses combined with his extensive background in individual tax benefits those who want tax savings solutions and ideas that seek to maximize the synergies between their business and personal matters. Jesse also provides tax and consulting services to clients in family office, family investment partnerships and real estate. He assists with complicated tax allocations, works with clients on entity structures, planning for new ventures and assists clients with IRS and state tax authority notices, correspondence and audits.

Prior to joining Mariner, Jesse was senior tax manager at Sobul, Primes & Schenkel CPAs APC. Before that, he held consecutive roles at RSM US LLP.

Jesse earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation, both from Northern Illinois University.
