Experience and education

Garrett provides comprehensive financial advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and their families to help them achieve their goals.

Prior to joining Mariner, Garrett served in senior advisory roles at Empower, most recently as a senior financial advisor and planner. In this role, he acted as the primary point of contact for clients, leading investment strategy development and implementation while coordinating with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive planning solutions. He previously worked as a senior retirement advisor, providing investment guidance and financial strategies to individual clients in a high-volume service environment.

Garrett has a BSBA in finance and a minor in economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Garrett enjoys Colorado’s active lifestyle, including golf, skiing, cycling and lap swimming. He also enjoys reading and creative pursuits such as music on the piano and saxophone. He is active in the Colorado Financial Planning Association and values local community engagement. His loyalty to Pittsburgh professional sports reflects his Northwestern Pennsylvania roots.
