Designations and licenses

Ben holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and has a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

Experience and education

Ben develops and administers research processes, monitors recommended managers and strategies and sources new ideas to fulfill client needs. He is responsible for coordinating special projects and organizing workflow for sourcing initiatives, tasks and deadlines. In addition, he also conducts ad hoc research and creates bespoke client deliverables to support advisors’ needs.

Prior to joining Mariner, Ben held consecutive roles at AndCo, where he was senior research analyst and later, held the team lead position. Before that, he was director of manager research at Newport Group, where he was a member of the investment and asset allocation committees supporting institutional clients. Earlier in his career, he held various positions on the private equity and general investment consulting teams at Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, both from Millikin University.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Ben enjoys reading and visiting museums and spending time with his wife and son, frequently visiting Orlando’s theme parks, including Disney World and Universal Studios, where he had developed a taste for rollercoasters. He also volunteers in his community at Second Harvest Food Bank and  Central Florida Zoo alongside his Mariner colleagues. In the past, Ben has served on the board of the CFA Society of Orlando.
