Alex is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠.

Experience and Education

Alex provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to joining Mariner, Alex spent nearly a decade at First National Advisors and was named partner in 2024. Before entering the financial planning field, Alex spent seven years with Collegiate Entrepreneurs, serving as the Maine district manager, New England general manager, and California division head. In these roles, he hired, trained and mentored college students as they launched and managed their own small businesses.

Alex has a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from the University of Maine. He also holds a certificate in personal financial planning from UCLA.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Alex enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, having recently visited China, Japan, Italy and Iceland.  He is also an avid member of the Blue Hills Cycling Club, where his riding has culminated in completing the Mt. Washington Hillclimb.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP^®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®, and CFP^® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
