Firm’s First Acquisition of 2023 Underscores Commitment to Providing 360º Wealth Management Solutions

Overland Park, Kan. – February 15, 2023 – Mariner Wealth Advisors, a national wealth advisory firm, today announced it has acquired the Arizona-based tax practice of Hopkins Tameron Hostal, PLLC (HTH). The acquisition of HTH, and integration of its services, enhances Mariner Wealth Advisors’ mission of providing clients with 360° wealth advice, and emphasizes the firm’s dedication to offering a full catalog of solutions in-house.

HTH was founded in 2017 by David Hopkins and Joe Tameron, with the goal of taking their knowledge and expertise from working together at a national firm and scaling it down to offer deeper personalization in each of their services. HTH provides personalized tax, consulting, and wealth management services for individuals in various industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing, hospitality, professional services, and technology. The firm completed 1,500 returns last year for both corporate and individual clients.

A unique departure from the firm’s typical acquisition target of wealth management practices, the move to incorporate HTH is part of Mariner Wealth Advisors’ commitment to providing a seamless client experience, which may include tax, trust, insurance and estate professionals as part of a client’s wealth team.

The deal closed Jan. 31, 2023, and the practice’s Scottsdale office will officially join the Mariner Wealth Advisors brand on Feb. 16, 2023, bringing the firm’s total number of locations nationwide to 84. Following its integration into the Mariner Wealth Advisors brand, HTH and its 12 associates will remain in place at its Scottsdale office, while concurrently supporting the advisors at Mariner Wealth Advisors’ offices in Scottsdale and Phoenix.
