Experience and education

Ben provides strategic leadership for his market, aligning teams, resources and culture to drive growth and enhance the client experience. He partners closely with local and regional leaders to support advisors, develop talent and ensure consistent execution of the firm’s mission and values.

Prior to joining Mariner, Ben worked as a senior wealth advisor at The Mather Group. While there, he provided holistic financial advice to prospective clients around investments, retirement, estate planning, insurance and taxes. Before that, he served as director of financial planning at Edelman Financial Engines.

Ben has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Michigan State University.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Ben enjoys skiing, hiking and cooking. He has played the guitar for over 25 years.
