Dan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Certified Wealth Strategist®. He holds a life insurance license in the State of California.
Experience and education
Dan partners with high-net-worth individuals and families to bring confidence, clarity and structure to complex financial lives and guide multi-generational wealth decisions. His approach connects investment strategy, tax planning, estate structuring and cash flow design into a coordinated long-term plan. As a leader in the Walnut Creek office, he mentors associates and helps drive the strategic direction and growth of the region.
Prior to joining Mariner, Dan was a wealth advisor at CAVU Wealth Advisors, where he provided comprehensive life planning to families across the U.S. and managed daily portfolio trading. Prior to that, he was the senior branch manager at HSBC Bank USA. While there, he led a team of professionals focused on international and domestic banking, wealth management and lending.
Dan has a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Saint Mary’s College of California.
Personal interests
Away from the office, Dan enjoys golfing, coaching, and spending time with his wife and two young children. He serves as president of the West Coast Greco Regional Training Center, an organization he helped establish to create greater opportunities for athletes pursuing their wrestling goals. Dan is actively involved in his local community and youth sports, volunteering his time with De La Salle wrestling, Pleasant Hill baseball, AYSO soccer and CYO basketball.
