Experience and education

Philip provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to joining Mariner, Philip was a private wealth manager, serving families by developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans. His work focused on investment advisory, tax planning, estate planning, risk management and charitable giving. He served in the U.S. Navy, completing numerous overseas deployments. He is a qualified surface warfare officer and attained the rank of lieutenant commander.

Philip has a BSBA from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Philip is an avid Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and holds a brown belt. He is a novice leather crafter and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
