As chief practice management officer for Mariner Wealth Advisors, Brian oversees business development, practice management and marketing. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee, and he is responsible for ensuring all advisory teams have the resources they need to be an advocate for their clients.

Prior to joining Mariner in 2010, Brian was head of the Preferred Planning platform at UBS, where he managed a group of professionals who provided comprehensive wealth advice to high-net-worth clients. While in that role, he advised the firm’s wealthiest clients on heavily concentrated equity positions, philanthropic planning and wealth transfer strategies. Before joining UBS, Brian was a consultant in the Financial Planning and Tax Services department of Ernst & Young, LLP, where he provided investment and tax strategies to individual and corporate clients.

Brian has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and a master’s degree in taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant®. He has passed the Series 7, 24, 51 and 66 exams. Brian was honored as a member of Ingram’s 2013 class of 40 Under Forty.
