Walker Willse

Experience and education

Walker focuses on driving growth in the specialty tax practice. He oversees project teams, leads client engagements and manages client relationships. In his role, he serves as the technical and strategic resource for complex projects while developing and mentoring team members.

Prior to joining Mariner, Walker served as a business development consultant for a national specialty tax firm, where he identified, cultivated and closed new business opportunities while building strategic referral partnerships.

Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resources with a focus in geology and forestry from the University of the South and a master’s degree in science communications and journalism from Boston University.

Personal interests

Away from the office, Walker is a parishioner at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, TN, where he actively volunteers with homeless outreach initiatives. He is also a studio member at The Forge Nashville, focusing on the design and fabrication of furniture, lighting and home goods. He also enjoys trail running, woodturning and fishing.
