Designations and licenses

Hakim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, has a Master Planner Advanced Studies™ designation and is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠. He holds accident, health and life insurance licenses in California.

Experience and education

Hakim works with a wealth advisory team to design financial plans, implement investment strategies, and administer wealth advisory services. He began his career as an intern in the financial services industry in 2017. In his current role, he focuses on helping clients meet their needs and goals by understanding their best interests, values, hopes and dreams.

Hakim has a bachelor’s degree in economics from San Diego State University and a Master of Science degree in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning.

Personal interests

Outside of work, Hakim is passionate about supporting underprivileged children and their families. He serves the Mariner Foundation as the Giving Council Representative for the San Diego office. Hakim volunteers and enjoys paying it forward through organizations such as Build a Miracle, Just in Time for Former Foster Youth and Promises2Kids. He also likes spending time at the beach and mountains, surfing, mountain biking and traveling with his wife, close friends and Belgian Shepherds.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP^®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®, and CFP^® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
