Patrick is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.

Experience and Education

Patrick oversees the firm’s offices in the Central region and is responsible for the strategy for and operational execution of those offices. He focuses on delivering the right client experience and developing associate talent.

Patrick takes a holistic wealth planning approach as he works to understand each client’s objectives and challenges. He then creates a customized wealth management plan to help the client arrive at his or her personal financial destination.

Patrick has been in the financial services industry since 2008. Prior to joining Mariner, he spent six years as a wealth management consultant at Avantax Wealth Management. In this role, he guided tax and wealth advisors through all stages of the financial planning process, including asset allocation and investments, tax planning, retirement and cash flow planning, estate planning and charitable giving.

Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in history and economics and a master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee.

Patrick was named to Forbes’ Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list, ranking #7 in Texas – North in 2024, #9 in 2023, #19 in 2022 and #99 in 2021.

Personal Interests

Patrick and his wife have two daughters. He enjoys playing basketball and golf, reading, listening to music, watching college football and basketball, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He is an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and Dallas Mavericks.
