Michael Kosoff

Experience and Education

Michael is responsible for conducting due diligence and providing manager recommendations to support Mariner advisors. In addition, he provides asset class and category guidance. He also monitors recommended managers and strategies and sources new ideas.

Prior to joining Mariner, Michael was senior director, investments at Artivest, which was acquired by iCapital, where he was responsible for research in private equity, hedge funds and digital assets. Before that, Michael held various positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, working in investment research and portfolio management, where he selected and monitored investment managers and managed portfolios of hedge funds. Prior to that, Michael was vice president at CTC Consulting, where he was responsible for investment research focused on family offices.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in economics from Harvard University.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Michael enjoys cycling, tennis, traveling and spending time with his wife and kids.
