Tony provides tailored and creative tax planning, compliance and consulting services to physicians and physician groups, hospitals and health care systems, nonprofit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals to help them reach their goals. He also provides clients with federal and state audit representation and works with them in technical areas, such as executive compensation and benefits, governance policies and procedures, Affordable Care Act rules and regulations, tax reform, sales and use tax, and unclaimed property.
He has more than 23 years of tax experience. Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, he was a partner with WithumSmith+Brown, PC where he focused primarily on providing tax services to physicians, physician groups, and health care and nonprofit organizations including, but not limited to, hospitals, health care systems, foundations, joint ventures and ambulatory surgery centers.
Tony has a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from Albany State University of New York and a master’s degree in accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association, where he is a member of the board of directors for the New Jersey chapter.
He is a frequent speaker on various topics including tax reform, individual tax law, and tax issues affecting the healthcare and nonprofit industries. He has spoken for many organizations including the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut State Societies of CPAs, and various chapters of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
