Todd Cassler
Experience and Education
Todd is responsible for leading organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including corporate development, advisor recruiting, referral partner programs, traditional business development, advisory solutions and specialty programs. His day-to-day focus is on driving enterprise growth across all Mariner Wealth Advisors’ business units, including its ultra-high-net-worth practice and Mariner Advisor Network.
Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Todd worked for John Hancock and Manulife Investment Management, where he served as head of institutional distribution U.S. and Europe and as president of financial institutions and advisory solutions. A member of the executive management team, he led all distribution, client service and relationship management activities with consultants, endowments, foundations, insurers, defined benefit pension plans and third-party investment platforms across the U.S., EMEA, Latin America and South America. Additionally, Todd oversaw the company’s defined contribution investment-only, NRC, RIA, ETF, bank trust and global financial institutions businesses.
Earlier in his career, Todd was vice president at Neuberger Berman and national distribution manager at American Skandia.
Todd has a bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University and an MBA from Sacred Heart University.
Personal Interests
Todd serves on the board of directors for various organizations, including JA Americas and Global Council JA Worldwide, Montrose School, Inner Explorer, Manulife Investment Management and John Hancock Worldwide Investors. He also sits on the board of trustees for Boston Children’s Museum and the board of visitors for the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University. Additionally, he is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization.
