Dawn is a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant and a Certified Behavioral Finance Analyst.
Experience and Education
Dawn brings more than 21 years of experience in the financial services industry to developing strong business relationships and providing quality service to a range of clients. Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, she was an account executive at SageView Advisory. Her past experience also includes serving as a retirement plan specialist at DailyAccess Corporation, where she focused on developing advisor relationships and working with plan sponsors on retirement plan conversions. Dawn also worked at American Century Investments for 11 years, where she served in a variety of roles.
Dawn has a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
Dawn was named NAPA’s Top Woman Advisors, MVP in 2015 and NAPA’s Top Woman Advisors, Captain in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
Dawn enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC. In her free time she swims, cycles and runs. She has competed in countless running events, cycling races and triathlons of all distances, including two Iron-Distance races and six half iron-distance events. She is involved with WIN for KC, an organization that empowers women and girls through sport and fitness. She is a member of the WIN for KC triathlon committee.
In 2016, 2017 and 2019, Dawn was recognized as a Captain on the National Association of Plan Advisors’ (NAPA) list of Top Women Advisors. The NAPA Top Women Advisors were selected from nearly 500 nominations submitted to NAPA. More than 15,000 votes were cast in support of these individuals. Selected women were honored in three separate categories: Captains, (all-stars who happen to be principals, owners or team captains of their organizations); All-Stars (top producers who have their own practice); and Rising Stars, (top producers who have less than five years of experience with retirement plans as a financial advisor). In 2015 she was also named MVP from NAPA.
