As regional vice president, Ryan oversees business development initiatives for the central region, with his primary focus on supporting Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan. He also provides portfolio management services and wealth planning to individuals and families. With more than 20 years of experience in investment management, Ryan has worked with retirees from Procter & Gamble, General Electric and Kroger, to name a few. 

Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Ryan was a senior investment specialist at Charles Schwab & Company where he advised clients, customized their investment portfolios and helped them to determine an appropriate asset allocation based upon their financial needs and goals.

Ryan is a trustee on the Board of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Cincinnati Union Bethel where he serves on their Finance & Audit Committees. He is also a trustee on the Board for The Springer School & Center and a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Cincinnati Zoo. He is a past trustee of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Cincinnati.

Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University, has passed the Series 7 and 63 exams and holds an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Xavier University. He was named a Five Star Wealth Manager in Cincinnati Magazine by Five Star Professional every year from 2013-2017.

 

The Five Star Wealth Manager award is given by Five Star Professional. To receive the award, a wealth manager must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria, including registration as an investment advisory representative, employment as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of five years, favorable regulatory and compliant history, firm review based on internal firm standards and accepting new clients. The award is not indicative of the wealth manager’s future performance. Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed in the list of Five Star Wealth Managers.
