Jake works with high-net-worth individuals and institutions to help them develop investment policies, asset allocation solutions and multi-generational wealth planning strategies.

Prior to joining the firm, Jake was a global customer service satisfaction controller for Novellus Systems, where he managed and controlled eight different regions throughout the world.

Jake joined Mariner Wealth Advisors in 2008. In 2010, he was honored as one of Ingram’s magazine’s 40 Under Forty. Jake has also been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager by KC Magazine, KC Business and Five Star Professional two times, most recently in 2016.

Jake has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Idaho. He has passed the Series 65 exam. He is a board member of the Mariner Foundation, through which he is actively involved with Habitat for Humanity.




The Five Star Wealth Manager award is given by Five Star Professional. To receive the award, a wealth manager must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria, including registration as an investment advisory representative, employment as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of five years, favorable regulatory and compliant history, firm review based on internal firm standards and accepting new clients. The award is not indicative of the wealth manager’s future performance. Wealth managers do no pay a fee to be considered or placed in the final list of Five Star Wealth Managers.
