Matthew Brady

Senior Wealth Advisor

Matthew Brady is a senior wealth advisor at Mariner Wealth Advisors. He has more than 15 years of industry experience and specializes in asset allocation and construction of equity portfolios. Prior to joining Mariner, Matthew worked at UMB Asset Management where he was a managing director of portfolio management for the Johnson County, Kansas, Denver, Colorado and Phoenix client management teams. At UMB, Matthew was responsible for managing the portfolios of high-net-worth clients and select institutional relationships and was ultimately responsible for more than $800 million in client assets. Prior to joining UMB, Matthew worked at State Street Bank in Kansas City. He spent two years as a senior portfolio administrator within State Street’s Insurance Service division, where he was directly responsible for a team of 10 portfolio administrators handling approximately $60 billion in cash and marketable securities in 40 foreign countries and currencies.

Matthew has a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. As a multi-year veteran with Junior Achievement, Matthew frequently volunteers to teach business and economic concepts at local elementary and high schools. He is involved in the Johnson County, Kansas, division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians – a fraternal organization dedicated to assisting children’s charities in the Kansas City metro area. Matthew is also a member of the Kansas City Society of Chartered Financial Analysts.
