Chief of Staff / Chief Compliance Officer


Cheryl Vohland is the chief of staff and chief compliance officer at Mariner Holdings. In her role as chief of staff, Cheryl created and now operates a reporting system that allows for the timely flow of necessary data to the chief executive officer from all relevant departments and direct reports. Cheryl also tracks strategic initiatives by monitoring progress toward meeting goals and achieving benchmarks, analyzing data, ensuring follow-through on the part of key players, and sustaining the momentum needed to drive corporate initiatives. As the chief compliance officer, she is responsible for developing and maintaining the compliance program for the investment advisory firms controlled by Mariner Holdings as well as keeping abreast of the rules and regulations surrounding investment advisors.

Cheryl has worked alongside the chief executive officer since before the firm was founded.

Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. She also has an LL.M. in taxation from the University of San Diego.
